Ochre Recruitment is passionate about medical recruitment in Australia and New Zealand.

Ochre was founded in 2002 by Dr Ross Lamplugh (an Aussie) and Dr Hamish Meldrum (a Kiwi) in Bourke, a rural Australian town. The company was born out of a need to provide locums into rural and remote areas of Australia. Ochre has since grown and expanded its scope to place doctors into both locum and permanent positions across a diverse range of medical specialties all over Australia and New Zealand in metropolitan, rural and remote areas.

With offices in five locations across Australia and New Zealand, we offer a personalised service; our specialist medical recruitment consultants and support staff have a real understanding of the medical systems in our respective countries.
