RX Recruitment is excited to be a part of this exciting project assisting our client to attract the world's best medical staff for their new hospital in the Maldives.
Our client, Treetop Hospital, is planning to transform the healthcare landscape of the Maldives. This tertiary non-teaching hospital is targeted to open in October 2017 and is aimed to improve the health standard of people living in the Maldives. The hospital will also benefit the tourism industry as there is a demand for good health facilities at holiday destinations.
Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care of Malaysia, a JCI accredited hospital group with over 26 years of experience in the industry has been engaged to assist in the planning, design and commissioning of the Hospital. Ramsay Sime Darby has been awarded the contract for operation and management of Tree Top Hospital.
With the capacity and competency of the foreign parties involved in the design, construction and management of the hospital, Tree Top Hospital will compete with the regional market in delivering excellence in healthcare.
Tree Top Hospital will provide world class medical services to the community, and will also offer opportunity for several local jobs allowing for economic growth of the country. With the expected affiliations with Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care hospitals and its entities to cater to patients who need sub-specialised care, Tree Top Health can offer complete healthcare solutions for its patients. It is anticipated that with the opening of Tree Top Hospital, the number of locals having to leave abroad to obtain specialised medical care will be significantly minimized, saving considerably on increasing medical costs.
RX Recruitment is looking for medical professionals to join and build a new team, to provide essential care and support to patients, and be part of the solution for a better future in healthcare for the people of the Maldives.
Change your lifestyle
There are plenty of good reasons to consider living and working in the Maldives (apart from the fact that it is the Maldives - famous for its sand, marine life and sunshine). A predominantly Muslim country, almost a third of the Maldives’ population of 350,000 are expatriate workers. The vast majority are labourers imported from Bangladesh, but include maids, doctors, teachers and hospitality staff from countries such as India, Sri Lanka and the Phillipines. Western expatriates - usually referred to locally as “foreigners”, make up a minority of the imported workforce and tend to be found mostly in the senior management rungs of the resort industry or as highly skilled professionals in healthcare and other industries.
There is an international airport served by some of the world's largest airlines such as Emirates and Singapore Airlines, providing connectivity to all major centres worldwide.
Accommodation
There are plenty of good accommodation options available. A single room fully furnished apartment will go from 800-1000USD, and 2-3 rooms will go from 1500-2500USD.
Schooling and Further Education
There are a number of International schools in Male that can be the perfect solution for an expat student (children of healthcare staff) in the Maldives. International schools provide similar standards of schooling around the globe, providing for an easy transition between schools whether they are in France or Vietnam. There is usually local population, as well as an international student body. Schools may follow a curriculum model from the US, UK, France, etc. Primary instruction may be any language (and multiple languages are usually taught), but it is usually in English. Schools also provide internationally accepted accreditation such as the international baccalaureate.
Admission and enrollment procedures vary from school to school. Space is often limited and preference may be given to students based on nationality. Tuition tends to be expensive based on local standards, but offers high standards of learning, boast smaller class sizes, first-rate facilities, and extracurricular.
A New Experience
Due to open in mid October 2017, Treetop Hospital is a non-teaching, tertiary level, 160 bed facility offering a full range of specialist services, providing you with the ability to contribute to the establishment of departmental operations at the highest standards.
