East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust provides a range of health care services primarily for the people of East Lancashire, which comprises of the Boroughs of Blackburn, Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Ribble Valley and Rossendale. Our Trust aims to provide appropriate, high-quality personal and organisational development interventions, which will improve patient care. The Trust is one of the busiest in the UK providing services to a population of 520,000 people.
 
Our vision is simple – providing safe, personal and effective care to all our patients. We are an integrated provider of acute and community care and serve a large and diverse population. With a workforce of over 7,000 our staff benefit from great work, home and leisure opportunities.
 
 
Our principal site at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital is approximately 40 minutes’ drive from Manchester and an hour from Liverpool. The Trust has a total of over 950 in-patient beds at Burnley General Teaching Hospital and Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital. In-patient rehabilitation services are also provided at Pendle Community Hospital and at the Rakehead Unit at Burnley General Hospital, which specialises in neurological rehabilitation.
 
Out-patient and diagnostic services are also provided at Accrington Victoria Community Hospital, Clitheroe Community Hospital, Rossendale and St. Peter's Primary Health Care Centres and various premises and health centres throughout East Lancashire.

Medical Staffing

Our main hospital sites have undergone significant transformation over the past few years and this has resulted in Royal Blackburn Hospital having one of the largest Emergency Departments in the country, a centralised Paediatric service as well as providing high quality care in a wide range of specialities.
 
Burnley General Hospital has also received substantial investment which has seen the building of the new Integrated Urgent Care Centre and the Lancashire Women and Newborn Centre.
 
To support all these changes and developments we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated medical staff at all stages of their careers from Trainee Doctors/Dentists, through to Clinical and Senior Clinical Fellows and all points in between.

International Applicants - Visa Sponsorship and Relocation Assistance

East Lancashire Hospital NHS Trust welcomes expressions of interest and applications for employment from applicants that are not currently residing in the UK. Our Trust is an approved Tier 2 sponsor, and as such, can provide the support required for you to obtain the right to work in the UK.
 
We offer a relocation service utilising BTR International, and depending on your level of appointment, we may be able to offer up to £8,000 relocation assistance.
