Friends Without A Border provides high-quality and compassionate medical care to the children of Southeast Asia. Through the model of "Treatment + Education + Prevention," we build, operate, and fund locally-sustainable hospitals in Laos and Cambodia. Our fully-functional hospital departments treat the various needs of ill children, while our Health Education and Outreach programs educate local staff and local population in order to prevent future illness or disease.

Our Goals:

• Provide high-quality medical care for children in a warm, supportive environment.
• Support and provide continuing education of healthcare professionals throughout Cambodia and in other countries so that they will become the clinicians and educators of the future.
• Improve the health, nutrition, and hygiene of local communities through outreach programs and homecare.

We built and established Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap, Cambodia. AHC has evolved as one of the essential pediatric teaching hospitals in the country and became independent in 2013. We also support The Lake Clinic, an innovative boat-based medical care for the dispossessed floating villages on the Tonle Sap, Southeast Asia's largest lake.

In 2015, we opened an acute pediatric teaching hospital in Laos, Lao Friends Hospital for Children, on the campus of Luang Prabang Provincial Hospital. A major goal of Lao Friends Hospital for Children is to promote the clinical learning and professional development of the local staff such that key positions within the hospital are progressively filled by a well-trained and dedicated local workforce.
