Our multi-disciplinary teams consisting of nursing, psychiatry, psychology, occupational therapy, social work, education, and speech language pathology provide education and assistance for more than 1.2 million people in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
The full time psychiatry role leads a multi-disciplinary team to provide intensive treatment for complex children with mental health disorders. This role involves working closely with management to ensure safe and effective care. The role is the admitting physician for the unit and is crucial to sustainability of the unit.
An interest in education of trainees and students is highly desirable as the successful candidate is expected to apply for an Academic Colleague Appointment in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Alberta. Candidates must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Psychiatry, and have additional certification or experience in Child Psychiatry.
