Responsibilities/Duties:

Seeking experienced OB/GYN. Requires strong surgical skills and must be comfortable operating without local back up of other surgical specialities in a level 1 community hospital.

No antepartum care. Consultant obstetrics only, providing back up for local family physicians and midwives providing low risk obstetrical care.

On Call about one in three, but taken from home. Must reside within 30 minutes of the High River Hospital.

Ideal for someone wanting to slow down or focus more on gynecology.

Located close to Calgary with Level 2 and 3 care centers available to transfer patients to. Opportunities to teach multidisciplinary learners.

Qualifications:

Experienced OB/GYN with strong surgical skills

FRCSC- Obstetrics & Gynecology

The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

Must read, write and speak English.

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and Permanent Residents will be given priority.

Compensation:

Fee for Service

Specialist On Call: on call about one in three, but taken from home. Must reside within 30 minutes from High River Hospital

The Practitioner is responsible for purchasing health and insurance benefits.

Continuing Medical Education reimburses physicians for eligible continuing medical education costs. Each eligible Practitioner receives a $2,656 annual allotment which can be carried forward for three years.
