This is a Full-time benefitted RN position in the Cath Lab at WellStar Atlanta Medical Center – South Campus.  The facility is located 5.6 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, is a community based facility serving a diverse population of patients.  The campus holds a Primary Stroke Certification with The Joint Commission and provides Cardiac Cath Lab services 24/7 for the emergent STEMI patient. 


Responsibilities


Our RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and is supported through the WellStar Shared Governance Model. The framework for practice is steered by the WellStar Professional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing and evidence based practice and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by the WellStar Core Competencies.


Qualifications


Required Minimum Education, Licensure/Certification and Experience for this position:

  • Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing is preferred; National certification in area of specialty is also preferred.
  • Current and active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
  • This position requires either a minimum of 1 year of current Cath Lab, Critical Care or Emergency Room nursing experience in an Acute Care facility. Our preference is for at least 1 year of experience working full-time in a Cardiac Catherization Lab (Cath Lab).
  • Must have a current ACLS and BLS certification from the American Heart Association on the first day of employment.
