Covenant Health, in partnership with Alberta Health Services and the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, is accepting applications for a General Psychiatrist within the Department of Addictions & Mental Health at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.

In collaboration with their colleagues, the successful candidate will deliver inpatient care and consultation services to hospital patients, patients presenting to the Emergency Department and will provide consultation services to local family practices and PCNs. This position will participate in the program’s on-call in-patient schedule.Qualifications:
Registration with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta and appointment to the Edmonton Zone Medical Staff is expected. Certification in Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) and FRCPC (Psychiatry) is required. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
The successful applicant will be required to participate in the teaching program (Residents and Students) and will be expected to apply for a Clinical Faculty Appointment in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Alberta, which will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. An interest in participating in various hospital committees, sharing in some hospital administrative duties, and participating in departmental grand rounds is also an expectation.
This position will not support a practice readiness assessment.Compensation:
