About your opportunity
The Clinical Nurse provides clinical expertise utilising clinical skills, education and support to babies/ families and nursing staff within the Neonatal Unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care in a family centred environment. Neonatal intensive and special care for ill babies with medical and surgical problems is provided through our neonatal unit.
The neonatal unit aims to provide family centred care by providing parents with optimal opportunities to promote and support their infant throughout the hospital stay in partnership with the neonatal multidisciplinary team.

Role Requirements

  • Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with AHPRA and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • Mandatory: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
  • Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
  • Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.

Generous pro rata remuneration package value up to $87,111 p.a. comprising salary range of $45.38 to $48.59 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6), 17.5% leave loading, 12.75 % employer contribution to superannuation. This is a permanent part-time position of 60 hours per fortnight.
