Newly Qualified Nursing Associates & Associate Practitioners (Scarborough)

York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - More jobs by this advertiser
  • Are you due to qualify as a Nursing Associate or Associate Practitioner in the New Year?
  • Looking for a fresh start in a new environment where you will be supported to fulfil your potential?

Then consider an opportunity in one of our Hospitals...

During the last 2-years, we’ve supported more than 60 of our staff in York and Scarborough with their training. We’re proud of their contribution to the Trust, to our nursing teams and to the excellent care delivered to our patients, and can’t wait to celebrate with those who’ll qualify in January.

With a new chapter approaching, we have developed a comprehensive preceptorship package to help support Nursing Associates and Associate Practitioners’ make the transition following qualification…but this package isn’t only available to individuals who have trained with us.

We are looking for motivated, caring, compassionate, hardworking and proactive individuals who demonstrate our trust values and can provide high quality care.

We want you to be willing to develop your knowledge, skills and experience to enhance our nursing workforce across the Trust. We have opportunities in a number of different adult nursing specialties at both our York and Scarborough site.

If you are interested in a position in York Hospital (rather than Scarborough) then please search for vacancy reference: 419-2012-18-Y-NA&AP

If you’d like to be part of a team that is truly embracing these positions, who are committed to empowering you and investing in your professional development, we’d love to talk to you about taking that next step with us and our new NAs and APs.

For further information, please contact recruitment@york.nhs.uk, or apply today.

Please note that some of our substantive vacancies may be available on a smaller number of hours than advertised. If you would be interested in applying on this basis, we would encourage you to contact the appointing manager to enquire further.

A bit more about us and the surrounding area:

North Yorkshire is a fantastic part of the country. It is home to two national parks, a beautiful coastline, and the city of York; a place which is consistently voted one of the best to live in the UK. It's a great place to be and, as the largest provider of healthcare locally, we’re proud to serve 800,000 people.

It's not just the area that's a great draw - as a member of our team, you’ll have access to one of the most generous and comprehensive pension schemes in the UK, a minimum of 27 days annual leave (on top of Bank Holidays) and an award-winning package of staff benefits.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
