An exciting opportunity for a Consultant Respiratory Physician has arisen within the Respiratory team based at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. The post would be suitable for applicants who have a broad interest in Respiratory Medicine, and are interested in delivering health care to remote communities.
The Respiratory Unit is a highly progressive department which has recently benefitted from relocation to carefully designed facilities on the top floor of the hospital. There is a team of medical staff, specialist nurses and AHPs who collectively deliver services covering sleep/NIV, cystic fibrosis, lung cancer, and a pleural procedure service.
This post includes a responsibility for a broad range of respiratory diseases, and offers the challenge of delivering high quality health care to patients living in remote locations, Including performing peripheral clinics.
The Highlands offer a unique environment for a variety of leisure activities, and good schools and facilities for families.
This post is offered as 10 Programmed Activities per week, and includes on-call work, the details of which are described in the job description. Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register with a Licence to Practise or be within 6 months of being eligible for the Specialist Register at the time of interview.
