About your opportunity
The purpose of the position is to provide specialist and an advanced standard of clinical midwifery consultancy, advice and support for the delivery of evidenced based interventions, to promote the delivery of safe accessible sustainable midwifery services throughout the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) for women and their families who access maternity care from THHS. The role provides leadership consultation and coordination in effective planning of maternity services in the region to achieve organisational goals. This role will be an active midwife member of the midwifery leadership team. Role will be liaising and work with rural birthing sites and services to ensure Midwifery support, advise, upskilling opportunities are available.

Generous pro rata remuneration package value up to $115,313 p.a. comprising salary range of $55.72 to $60.50 p.h. (Nurse Grade 7), 17.5% leave loading, 12.75 % employer contribution to superannuation. Role Requirements

• Bachelor of Midwifery (or equivalent) is a mandatory requirement.
• Current registration with AHPRA.
• A masters qualification or commitment to attain higher qualifications is highly desirable.
• This position will be require to travel to and work at other facilities loated within the Townsivlle Hospital and Health Service. This may involve overnight stays and travel on small planes or ferry.
• C Class drivers licence.
