Lead Practice Education Facilitator

Grade: Band 7 Salary Scale: £33222 - £43471 pro rata

Part time 30hpw, permanent

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse or midwife to ensure the Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) and Care Home Education Facilitator (CHEF) team (and link closely with A&B PEF and CHEF) is led in a pro-active and dynamic way. You will liaise closely with NHS Highland, NES and UHI to deliver on nationally agreed objectives.

Your key role will be to lead the team whose principal purpose is to be a support and advisor to mentor colleagues in relation to all pre and post registration nursing students. The key elements of the role are to influence the learning environment by providing support, educational input and development activities for mentors and students.

The role aims to enhance and support the development of the practice learning environment supporting the organisation to ensure quality learning opportunities within the practice area, in line with national standards. The role is seen to enhance the quality of the practice learning experience, and to positively contribute to the future nursing / midwifery workforce.
