About the role
The Clinical Midwifery Consultant is a Registered Midwife who provides expert clinical leadership, education, supporting evidenced based practice and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, across maternity and neonatal services for the Division of Women, Children and Family.
As the Clinical Midwifery Consultant you must be able to demonstrate advanced, comprehensive skills and knowledge in contemporary neonatal services.
The Clinical Midwifery Consultant
will work collectively to apply the principles of contemporary clinical governance; and will apply professional and clinical expertise in collaboration with nursing and midwifery practitioners and other stakeholders.

This role is designated as ‘Vaccination Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role'. You must be able to provide evidence that you either:
Major 351 bed acute teaching hospital with one of the Queensland's busiest and best performing emergency departments. Specialities including anaesthetics, emergency, medicine, surgery, intensive and coronary care, orthopaedics, obstetrics, paediatrics, palliative care, rehabilitation, mental health and allied health services.
