Function Description:
The successful candidate will be a member of Global Fraud/CBO Decision Science team. The candidate will lead a ~10 member team consisting of 2 managers to develop state of the art modeling solutions to detect Fraud Applications and CBO/Credit Abuse. While the goal is to prevent fraud applications and CBOs at new accounts, some do circumvent our controls and, as a result, this team will be responsible for solutions that span across new accounts and point of sale.

Purpose of the Role:
The specific responsibilities include:
1. Develop and enhance models by utilizing the best-in-class modeling techniques
2. Evaluate new data sources - vendor sourced, as well as new variables designed from extensive case reviews for their efficacy in the models.
3. Be well versed in the model governance processes
4. Work closely with members of the business strategy teams located in multiple geographies to ensure seamless implementation.
5. Partner with technologies, 2nd line of defense and other teams to develop system capabilities, models, and design data elements.

Responsibilities:
Managing Fraud Application, Credit Bust Out and Payment return models. Managing a ~10 member team consisting of 2 managers.

Qualifications
 

Past Experience:

• 5+ years of modeling experience.
• Strong analytical and project management skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience in SAS, SQL and/or Python programming is preferred.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and programming language – JAVA, Python, Perl will be a plus.

Academic Background:
Masters degree in business, statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering or related fields is strongly desired.

Functional Skills/Capabilities:
• Experience in SAS, SQL and/or Python programming is preferred.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and programming language – JAVA, Python, Perl will be a plus.

Technical Skills/Capabilities:
• Experience in SAS, SQL and/or Python programming is preferred.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and programming language – JAVA, Python, Perl will be a plus.

Knowledge of Platforms:
GNA, GCAP, CAS
