Express your interest in the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service Casual Enrolled Nurse Talent Pool (WBHHS). This EOI process collects a variety of information that will help the Hospital and Health Service (HHS) identify potentially suitable applicants for casual employment opportunities. The successful applicant will preferably have recent hospital based experience or hold suitable qualifications relative to this role. Great communication skills and a positive attitude are also minimum requirements. To be eligible for the Casual Enrolled Nurse Talent Pool, candidates are required to have:

  • Sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice within a hospital environment and the ability to apply sound professional judgement to appropriately manage patient-centred care requirements under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Great communication skills to communicate effectively to provide patient flow and service capability, to support patient-centred evidence-informed and information-driven care.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety in a hospital environment under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Sound organisational skills including problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent understanding of the importance of accurate and timely data and record keeping including the use of information management tools appropriate to the position.
  • Maintain a professional development profile and facilitates an environment that encourages life long learning, mentoring and support for colleagues.
  • Providing a commitment to quality processes and evidence-informed practices.

If deemed suitable, your details will remain in the Enrolled Nurse talent pool for 12 months and you will be contacted further by the WBHHS at the time an opportunity arises matching your skills and location preferences. The WBHHS may request your participation in other recruitment selection processes (eg. written application, interview etc.) to further determine suitability for employment for specific positions.
