RAIGMORE HOSPITAL, INVERNESS ADVANCED NURSE - HAEMATOLOGY HAEMATOLOGY DEPARTMENT BAND 7 Salary Scale £33,222 - £43,471 37.5 Hours per week, Permanent Applications are invited from a suitably qualified, experienced and highly motivated individual to take up this demanding but exciting full time post of as part of NHS Highland's Haematology service . The post holder will join a team of Four Consultants and wider MDT and will play a key role in caring for out patients with some inpatient input as necessitated. Working closely with the entire multi-disciplinary team, this role is vital to ensuring continuity of care and a seamless patient pathway. A fundamental part of the Advance Nurse role is early detection and intervention of clinical deterioration in existing or new medical conditions, the Advanced Nurse will independently assess patients, order and analyse test results, prescribe treatment and monitor effectiveness. You will be expected to undertake bone marrow aspirates and insert PICC/MID lines - relevant training will be given as required. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC with significant post registration experience within haemato-oncology.
