Responsibilities/Duties:

Psychiatrists recruited to this position may not work on the Stollery Children’s Hospital (STO) site but to be available to come on-site during the day at STO Emergency Department to provide psychiatrist consultations within an hour of being contacted. A total coverage up to 0.5 FTE to the STO ER is expected.

Our multi-disciplinary teams consisting of psychiatry, nursing, psychology, occupational therapy, social work, education, and speech language pathology provide assistance for more than 1.4 million people in Edmonton Metropolitan Region.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Psychiatry and preferably have subspecialty certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. S/he must also be licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

Compensation:

Remuneration is fee-for-service, supplemented by on-call and administrative sessional payments.
