What you'll be doing
The Grace Centre for Newborn Intensive Care (GCNIC) Clinical Audit Nurse is responsible for maintaining an accurate database of all patients admitted to Grace Centre for Newborn Care and providing data to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unity Study (NICUS) and the Australian and New Zealand Neonatal Network (ANZNN). This position was initially funded by the Perinatal Services Network who have employed audit officers in all the neonatal intensive care units in NSW and the ACT. This is crucial to maintain the quality of health care provided and measure the impact of interventions on the outcomes for the babies. The data is provided for benchmarking purposes and contributes to the NICUS  report  as well as to the Mothers and Babies report published annually by the Department of Health.
