Retirement has created an opportunity for an enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our relaxed and friendly team. Although our Practice is classified as Very Remote and Rural, we are only 90 minutes drive from Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands, with its shopping, facilities and airport. Plus we are just over an hour from Ullapool, which hosts the ferry service to the Western Isles. Working here has its challenges but is generally less pressured and more varied and rewarding than would be the day to day experience of most GPs. In the interest of attracting the best candidate(s) the post on offer can be flexed to suit your personal circumstances. The job here can work for an experienced GP looking for a change of environment but would equally be a good fit for a recently qualified GP with an interest in rural medicine. If you are interested why not give us a call and we can have a chat about different options. We cover a large area of Wester Ross which lies on the famous www.northcoast500.com route containing remote, mainly coastal, rural settlements. We offer the opportunity to practise truly holistic, family centred, rural medicine in a relaxed environment in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. • Currently 4 GP partners, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurse • GMS contract, list size 2,200 • Vision clinical system + Docman for mail handling • Routine appointments @ 15 minutes • Work from 2 health board owned surgery sites; one in Gairloch and one in Aultbea • Many leisure opportunities (walking, climbing, cycling, watersports, golf) and good local schools • GP training practice & University of Aberdeen medical student placement training • Out-of-hours: weekday nights (Mon – Thurs) we cover our own patients via a shared rota (not busy).
