The Facility:

As part of the state wide health service you will be located in this modern 160 bed facility providing high quality health care to the local region. The hospital also offers services in medical, surgical and allied health specialties through inpatient and outpatient departments. The hospital has a strong relationship with the University of Tasmania’s Rural Clinical School, and the secondary care facilities are both associated teaching hospitals with contemporary teaching environments.

The Role:

An exciting opportunity exists in Hobart, for a Psychiatrist to join a small team of psychiatrists providing services to the community.

The Mental Health Services a catchment population of up to 80,000.

The Mental Health Service is a specialist service covering an area of 25,000 km. Mental Health Services offer the full range of public mental health services including a 12 bed inpatient acute unit, CAMHS, Adult and Aged Care Community Multidisciplinary Teams.


Candidates must hold specialist registration with AHPRA in Psychiatry (FRANZCP).

Candidates who hold the CCST will also be considered.
