An exciting opportunity has arisen within Braeside Crisis Service/ Mental Health Assessment team. We are looking for a highly motivated nurse to join our team.
Crisis services (which includes Braeside and MHAT) are currently going through a period of redesign. You will be part of current service developments aiming to enhance the crisis service. Some of the developments being considered are; on-site assessments (within persons locality/home) as well as joint working with Police Scotland again for joint response/ onsite assessments.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of knowledge with regards assesment of major mental illness/ distress. You will be required to work autonomously and as part of the wider multidisciplinary team and be able to demonstrate the ability to make sound clinical decisions.
The post holder will be required to assess mental state and relevant risks including suicide, self harm and violence within the framework of wider holistic assessments. Assessments may on occasion be nurse led, others conducted jointly with medical colleagues. These assessmnets include police S297 assessments . The team also provide a traige service to Police Scotland witin the Inner Moray Firth
