About the Role
The Logan Child and Youth Mental Health Community Care Team is part of a specialised Child and Youth Mental Health Service within Metro South Addictions and Mental Health Services, that provides multidisciplinary community mental health service for children and young people (aged 0 to 17 years), and their families/carers who suffer from, or are at significant risk of developing , severe and complex mental health difficulties.
The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the speciality of Child and Youth Mental Health Service.
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) you will provide direct and indirect care as required and works in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educator and wider Child and Youth Mental Health Service community care team to support the clinical unit in provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty of Child and Youth Mental Health.
The CNC will provide advanced specialist Child and Youth mental health assessments, risk assessments, triaging and support to the community-based intake team, in consultation with the multidisciplinary team and Consultant Psychiatrist, for young people with complex mental health needs and their families/carers.
