About the Role
The Nurse Unit manager is a senior level clinical manager, accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of clinical practice, nursing leadership and the provision of human and material resources within Longreach Hospital. The Nurse Unit manager provides leadership and direction to other nursing staff and is responsible for implementing plans related to safe, consumer focussed clinical care, professional development of staff and financial accountability.
The role of the Nurse Unit Manager in this rural setting incorporates all aspects of nursing care whilst demonstrating the following foundational elements of the Central West Professional Practice Model: Personalised Care; Development and Sustainability; Professional Partnership; Enabling Care and Decision Making.
This position may be required to act in the Director of Nursing position on occasions.
The total remuneration value of up to $143,803 p.a., is comprised of: salary between $116,092 - $126,037 p.a., (Nurse Grade 7); employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%); annual leave loading (17.5%); Permanent full-time; Accommodation and Relocation assistance (conditions apply); Applications will remain current for 12 months.
