Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) (Ref: 27365)
Part Time – 18.75 hours per week
Salary Range £31,800 - £39,169 per annum (pro rata)
plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,895 per annum (pro rata)
and Relocation Assistance of up to £8000 available
This exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS Shetland Clinical Education Team for a Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) for Nurses and Midwives. The Practice Facilitator (PEF) role will enhance the quality of the practice learning experience and positively contribute to the future nursing/midwifery workforce. The post holder will work within with the education team under the direction of the Practice Education Lecturer (PEL), along with Practice Education Team. They will contribute towards cohesive partnership working between NHS Shetland, universities and Colleges and work closely with all nursing and midwifery staff within NHS Shetland.
The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse or Midwife educated to degree level (or working towards with evidence of continuing professional development at SQCF Level 9) and have experience of supervision and assessment of students. Experience of delivering post registration and/or higher education teaching is desired but not essential, but must be willing to work towards. The post holder must be committed to their own professional development and have an interest in education and development of others.
