About the Role

The Division of Cancer Services at Princess Alexandra Hospital is a highly developed, multidisciplinary cancer service in one of Australia's largest teaching hospitals. Cancer Services are the state referral centre for some rare malignancies and provides highly specialised care for Melanoma, Upper Gastro Intestinal, Germ Cell, Sarcoma, High Grade Lymphoma and Acute Leukaemia.   This care is supported by the Stem Cell Program.


  • Collaborate and support NUM, CNC and the healthcare team to deliver safe clinical practice in alignment with organisation goals and unit priorities.
  • Accountable for educational outcomes of nursing services ensuring mandatory, legislative and requisite competencies are maintained and in line with best nursing practice and organisational objectives.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge, clinical skills and utilises expertise in the development and application of training programs; translating evidenced based nursing theory into clinical practice.
