WellStar Medical Group has an immediate opportunity for an Office Manager for our Urology offices at East Cobb Health Park, Avalon Health Park and North Fulton Hospital. Regular travel to all three offices is required.

The Office Manager I (OM I) position plays an integral role within the WellStar Health System as they are a leader that integrates patient experience, operational effectiveness, cultural integration, and system outcomes. As a member of the WellStar Medical Group, the OM I is directly responsible for the overall office operations including directing daily clinical and business functions. The OM I will plan, supervise, and coordinate day-to-day operations of a WellStar
Medical Group practice. OM I is also responsible for maintaining compliance with all regulatory agencies associated with WellStar Health System and WellStar Medical Group. Additionally, the OM I will be responsible for practice
specific regulations as it applies to their specialty.

The OM I selects and hires employees according to WellStar’s established guidelines; while monitoring, coaching, developing and evaluating performance of staff on an ongoing basis in accordance with WellStar’s performance standards. The position will maintain clinical quality, financial viability, human resources, patient experience, staff and provider engagement. In collaboration with associated departments, the OM I maintains proficiency in business operations and resolves operational issues and problems. The Office Manager I will support up to 7 providers and no more than two locations.


Required Minimum Education:

  • Associates degree from an accredited college or university in business or related field of study required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Required Minimum Licensure/Certification:

  • No certification required

Required Minimum Experience:

  • 2-3 years of healthcare management/supervisory experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting or hospital operational setting required.

Required Minimum Skills:

  • Professional-level computer skills and advanced experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written/ verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • A high degree of professionalism, diplomacy and discretion; excellent judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills; as well as strong customer-service skills.
  • Superior leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff, collaborate with physicians and maintain positive patient interactions.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and apply data and other practice information.
  • Understands and applies fundamentaland information systems
